The leaders of major technology companies marked the one-year anniversary of former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden's leaks with a plea to reform government surveillance.

    Truly, I hope that everyone understands that what is being said here by these company representatives is merely self-serving damage control. No company, after last years‘s revelations, can find or construct a constituent group large or powerful enough to sustain credibility as regards any corporate utterance on security matters.
