    The problem is in how one defines diversity. Notice that religion and socio-economic status, among other things, are not included in Mr. Smith‘s definition. One‘s life experiences are what allow an individual to bring diverse perspectives to the table. In this context, diversity cannot be measured.

    Nobody has ever given me a convincing explanation of why this is not blatant discrimination. What if it were the other way around, i.e. Microsoft paying bonuses to all-male, white lawyers? Imagine the outcry!
